. Pause and ask: What’s changed since the last time I did this task?
. Don’t rush: Urgency can blind you to danger.
. Challenge assumptions: Familiar doesn’t mean safe.
. Use tools: Checklists, permits, JSAs—follow them every time.
. Speak up: If something doesn’t feel right, say it.
. Train your awareness: The more you learn, the better you see risk clearly.
